Metal recovery

In 2017 we built a factory to separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals from bottom ash received from Waste-to-Energy plants. We screen up to 30.000 tonnes metals per year. Primarily, we process our own bottom ash, but also what we receive from external customers.

The factory is continuously expanded and developed for optimal separating of metals from incinerator bottom ash. We screen the finer fractions as low as 0.5 mm using air tables and the coarser fractions using flotation.

We value high quality in our end products. Our aluminum and heavies are sold to smelters, foundries and other manufacturers in Europe.

We operate several stationary ash recycling plants, both standalone as well as integrated in our client’s Waste-to-Energy plants.

With our bespoke design we can engineer the IBA plant to fit into the Waste-to-Energy plant’s processes for ash handling.

The plants separate up to 98% of all non-ferrous and ferrous metals from the bottom ash.

The iron and metals are then ready to be recycled at smelters and foundries.
